Values and Philosophy

I believe that human suffering is a normal part of life, rather than a deficiency or pathology, and I value and honor difference. When individuals challenge themselves outside of their comfort zone, I think it is only natural that they will face periods of unease. In confronting this unease, I feel there is an opportunity to learn about oneself and to grow and evolve. I find it phenomenally rewarding to work with people seeking to gain insight, to heal, and to transform themselves, and I feel honored to be a part of that process with clients.

Therapeutic Technique and Methodology

The foundation to my approach to therapy is from a person-centered and existential lens in which I seek to understand the client’s world view from their perspective, without assumption or stereotype, but rather through unpacking meaning with the client and meeting them where they are. I tailor an integration of therapy models for each client's individual needs and personality rather than having a one size fits all approach. I draw upon evidence based methods as is appropriate.
