Values and Philosophy

Values and Philosophy: I believe that therapy is a relationship and that trusting relationships help us to encounter our pain, to heal, and to grow. Each person has strengths and resources that he/she can utilize to heal and grow. It is important for me to relate to and treat you as a whole person and assist you in increasing awareness and mindfulness. I also think that understanding our past relationships and experiences helps us to increase our insight and awareness of our current situation, where the actual change happens, and the changes in the present will help us to move forward to a better future. My role as a therapist is to collaborate with you to help you to increase your awareness, insight, and understanding, to solve your problems, to achieve your goals, and to heal and grow toward your potential in your journey of personal growth.

Therapeutic Technique and Methodology

Therapeutic Technique and Methodology: I will approach your treatment depending on your needs, although my major approaches are Psychodynamic, Gestalt, Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I work on creating and maintaining trust, and treat you as a whole person and assist you to increase your awareness and insight. I listen to you and work with you to solve your problems and achieve your goals.
